SUBSTANCE: proposed steering mechanism with built-in booster has case 1 accommodating piston 2 with toothed rack 3 dividing case into two working spaces 4 and 5, hollow screw 6 mechanically coupled by ball-and-screw train 7 with piston 2, toothed sector 8 of shaft of pitman arm 9 in meshing with toothed rack 3. Rotor 10 is installed inside screw 6 on bearing 11. Longitudinal grooves are made on inner surface of screw 6 and outer surface of rotor 10. Some grooves are connected with space 4, and others, with space 5, through holes. Grooves communicate with pressure and return main lines. Radial groove is made on rotor 10 in zone of longitudinal grooves. One of bearings 11 is fitted in radial groove.
