CYCLONE Russian patent published in 2002 - IPC

FIELD: dust control in centrifugal field; chemical and petrochemical industries, metallurgy, mining, construction engineering and ecological processes of cleaning flue gases and ventilation emissions. SUBSTANCE: cyclone has housing with bladed cylindrical drum located along its axis; liquid sprayer is mounted inside this drum. Drum is freely rotatable under action of flow of liquid fed from sprayer which is made in form of distributing branch pipes mounted in upper portion of drum on blade; these branch pipes are smoothly distributed over inner surface of drum at level of liquid sprayer; cylinder secured to lower portion of drum has smoothly perforated lateral surface for smooth spraying of liquid under action of centrifugal force in housing. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency of cleaning and entrapping fine particles in circular clearance between drum and housing. 2 dwg
