For output of interlaced signal using picture signal shaper built around charge-coupled devices with three-phase excitation vertical carry pulses (first through third) are supplied to vertical shift register to carry signal charged in n-th line pixels to horizontal shift register and then horizontal carry pulses are applied to horizontal shift register for carrying (shifting) n-th line signal charges stored in horizontal shift register to two pixels in output unit. Then vertical carry pulses (first through third) are passed to vertical carry register to carry signal charges in (n + 1)-st line pixels to horizontal shift register wherein n-th line signal charges and (n + 1)-st signal charges are mixed up.
