FIELD: geophysical instrumentation, geophysical investigations. SUBSTANCE: down-hole logging instrument turns thanks to gyroscopic moment formed by controlled gyroscope. For this gyromotor is installed in frame in down-hole logging instrument which rotation axis is perpendicular to rotation axis of rotor and longitudinal axis of down-hole logging instrument. Armature of electromagnet is hinged to frame, core with winding of electromagnet is hung by hinges to body of down-hole logging instrument. When voltage is supplied to winding of electromagnet moment under which frame begins rotate with acceleration starts acting on frame with gyromotor creating gyroscopic moment acting along longitudinal axis of down-hole logging instrument. When this moment overcomes frictional torque between walls of hole and down-hole logging instrument the latter begins turning around its longitudinal axis. When electromagnet is deenergized down-hole logging instrument stops turning. Frame with rotor returns to initial position under action of spring structure coupling frame to body of down-hole logging instrument. To increase efficiency of gear it is suggested that several frames with gyromotors should be used. Suspension axes of these frames should be parallel and frames themselves should by intercoupled by hinges, electromagnet and spring structure in given case are common for the entire assemblage of frames with gyromotors.
