SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of synthesis of a mixture of sulfatized estrogens comprising delta-(8,9)-dehydroestrone of the formula (I) or its derivatives where R₁ is H; R₂ is H and R₃ is O-acyl; or R₃ is H and R₂ is O-acyl; or R₂ and R₃ in common mean O and in the formula (III) where R₁ is silyl (alkyl)₃ or tetrahydropyranyl; R₂ and R₃ in common mean O; or R₂ and R₃ in common mean acetal. Method involves (partial) isomerization of compounds of the formula (III) by treatment with ethylenediamine lithium salt or lithium amide in dimethylsulfoxide medium.
