FIELD: control over toxic gases at works of oil and gas and chemical industries. SUBSTANCE: sensor is used to test presence of hydrogen sulfite in atmosphere of working zones. Sensor has dielectric substrate made of bismuth borate glass, gas-sensitive layer which is heterostructure based on bismuth-carrying heteropolycompound. Invention proposes process of manufacture of this sensor. EFFECT: enhanced sensitivity and selectivity of determination of hydrogen sulfite in air atmosphere in wide range of concentrations, reduced temperature at which presence of hydrogen sulfite is found, prevention of effect of humidity of readings of sensor. 2 cl, 4 dwg
