FIELD: mining industry; units for flotation of materials; metallurgy; food-processing industry and other industries. SUBSTANCE: proposed aeration unit has bladed stator and bladed impeller located at spaced relation and air supply unit. Impeller is made in form multi-tier structure: each tier consists of concentric rings with blades located in between them. Each higher tier exceeds lower one by 1.10 to 1.75 times; stator is made in form of stepped structure following the contour of impeller axial section. Adjustment of clearances between respective members of impeller and stator blades may be effected due to movable members of stator. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency of flotation due to universality of impeller and stator in using floatation machines of various standard sizes, as well as in floatation of materials possessing different physical properties. 1 dwg
