AERATION UNIT OF FLOATATION MACHINE Russian patent published in 2003 - IPC

Abstract RU 2206406 C1

FIELD: concentration of minerals; metallurgy; mining, chemical and other industries. SUBSTANCE: aeration unit of floatation machine has hollow shaft through which air is supplied with two impellers secured on this shaft on different levels from bottom and mounted in stators. Lower impeller has two stages: upper stage is made in form of disk with ports with hydraulically washed surfaces and radial blades. Base of lower stage is made in form of blind disk secured to shaft. Radial blades of lower stage whose side surface has form of truncated cone are mounted between blind disk and concentric ring. Blade body has slots for supply of air. Ring is inserted in slots of blades of upper stage. Stator of upper impeller is made in form of sleeve whose diameter exceeds diameter of circumscribed circle of radial blades of impeller. Ferrule of upper stator has perforated surface whose holes are located in definite order; impeller is partially sunken in stator by upper portion. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency due to improved aeration and hydrodynamic characteristics. 1 dwg
