FIELD: mining industry; metallurgy; food-processing industry and other industries. SUBSTANCE: proposed aeration unit includes two-stage impeller whose upper stage is made in form of bladed disk and lower stage is made in form of impeller having shape of truncated cone mounted on aeration pipe by its lesser base; radial blades have slots. Disk of upper stage is provided with ports having hydraulically streamlined surfaces. Lesser base of lower stage is made in form of blind disk secured to flange on aeration pipe and provided with additional projections on outer surface. Radial blades of lower stage are mounted between blind disk and concentric ring which is inserted in slots of upper stage blades; side circumscribed surface of radial blades has form of surface of truncated cone.
