FIELD: antislippage facility of locomotives. SUBSTANCE: procedure is based on use of two identical registers installed under bottom of locomotive with displacement one relative to another along direction of its motion and consists in continuous measurement by both registers of values of informative parameter characterizing one property of members of structure of railway bed along track, in comparison of mentioned parameter with specified threshold, in measurement of time interval between moments following one another when mentioned threshold is exceeded and recorded by both registers and in determination of line velocity of locomotive. Degree of continuity of its surface periodically changing on boundary of open section of ballast crushed stone layer and tie is chosen in the capacity of controlled parameter. Underlying railway bed under both registers is subjected to uninterrupted wave radiation with its distribution along direction parallel to longitudinal axes of ties. Intensity of radiation reflected from surface of railway bed in points spaced along mentioned direction in zone of location of each register is selected as value of measured informative parameter.
