FIELD: measurement equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to measurement equipment and can be used for determining the passed distance and movement speed of main-line and shunting locomotives with possibility of further transmission of these parametres to locomotive control system. Locomotive system includes three receiving and radiating devices (1, 2, 3) in-series installed on locomotive in direction of movement, each of which includes microwave radiation source unit with transmitting antenna and receiver unit of reflected microwave radiation with receiving antenna and amplifier, and programmable microprocessor. Programmable microprocessor includes two correlation and extreme processing units (4, 5), two actual speed calculation units (6, 7), unit for determining movement direction (10), output speed selection unit (8), input unit of base values and initial conditions (9) and integrator (I).
EFFECT: improving measurement accuracy of movement parametres and enlarging functional capabilities.
