APPARATUS FOR APPLYING COATING OF POWDERED MATERIALS ONTO ONE OF ELECTRODES IN ELECTRIC FIELD (VARIANTS) Russian patent published in 2002 - IPC

Abstract RU 2190040 C2

FIELD: equipment for applying coating in electric field. SUBSTANCE: apparatus is designed for applying coatings in electric field, namely complex-composition coatings, for example of materials of different electric conductivity onto substrates, possibly moving substrates of materials of different electric conductivity and for applying coating onto both sides of substrates. Apparatus includes electrodes, chamber formed by means of electrodes and designed for placing powder. Electrodes are mounted with possibility of mutual displacement. Powder contains particles with fraction size (1-500) micrometers; field between electrodes has intensity (5 -500)kV/cm. Absolute pressure of gaseous atmosphere in chamber is no more than 3 x 107Pa. Voltage providing electric field of variable intensity may be supplied to electrodes. Electrode subjected to coating applying may be placed inside chamber formed at least by means of one electrode of opposite polarity. Electrode subjected to coating applying may be made of metal, semiconductor or dielectric material to which electric conductivity is imparted. Powder may contain particles of materials of different electric conductivity: conductors or semiconductors or dielectric materials or their different combinations. Powder may contain two or more ingredients. Apparatus may be provided with heater or laser. Atmosphere in chamber between electrodes may be vacuumized. EFFECT: possibility for applying complex-composition coatings onto substrates, moving substrates, on both sides of substrates. 22 cl, 3 dwg
