FIELD: firing-up and stabilizing burning of pulverized-coal burners. SUBSTANCE: proposed device includes fuel supply pipe connected with pulverized-coal source and provided with passage for introducing compressed air, ignition chamber and plasmatron mounted at angle relative to fuel supply pipe ; compressed air supply passages are made in form of slots found in fuel feed pipe and oriented at angle relative to fuel feed pipe; they are located before plasmatron on side of pulverized-coal source; each said slot is divided into sections isolated from each other; passages supplying air to these sections are isolated from each other and are provided with air supply regulator. EFFECT: controllability of ignition process; reduced overall dimensions of device. 3 cl, 1 dwg
