FACILITY TO IGNITE PULVERIZED COAL FUEL Russian patent published in 2003 - IPC

FIELD: lighting-up of pulverized coal burners. SUBSTANCE: facility to ignite pulverized coal fuel has fuel -feeding pipe coupled with fuel-feeding conduit to source of coal dust and fitted with conduit to inject compressed air, ignition chamber and plasma generator. Fuel- feeding conduit is coupled to fuel-feeding pipe ahead of plasma generator which is oriented along axis of fuel-feeding pipe. Conduit to inject regulating air comes in the form of ejector on which longitudinal axis plasma generator is mounted for reciprocating motion. Its outlet hole is uniaxial with longitudinal axis of ejector. In addition source of coal dust is coupled to clearance between edge of intake hole of ejector and outlet edge of plasma generator. Conduit to inject compressed air is implemented in the form of slit cuts in wall of fuel-feeding pipe, at least two of them being oriented at angle with its longitudinal axis. Nearest of them is moved away from edge of intake hole of ejector by distance of 2-2.5 diameters of fuel- feeding pipe. Each slit cut is divided into sections isolated one from another, air feeding conduits to them are isolated one from another are equipped with air inlet controllers. Distance between slit cuts corresponds to 0.13 diameter of fuel-feeding pipe. EFFECT: reduced consumption of power by plasma generator, prolonged repair-free operational time period, provision for effective control over process of fuel ignition. 1 cl, 1 dwg
