FIELD: manufacture of abrasive discs for deep peripheral grinding of material having trend for occurring flaws such as burnouts and microcracking, grinding parts at controlling heat flux directed to part. SUBSTANCE: wheel is in the form of even number of abrasive discs mounted with axial gap one relative another on common shaft. Discs are in the form of circular truncated cylinders whose one end is inclined by acute angle α relative to plane normal to rotation axis. Discs are mounted in pairs in such a way that their unbalanced portions are in counterphase and diametrically opposite; their tapered ends are turned one to another, mutually parallel and arranged inside circle. Interdisc gap may be adjusted by means of spacing washers. Value of said gap depending upon outer diameter and minimum height of abrasive disc is determined according to given formula. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency and quality of grinding process. 7 dwg
