FIELD: deep peripheral grinding of material with trend for occurring flaws such as burnouts and microcracking, namely grinding parts at controlling heat flux directed into it. SUBSTANCE: builtup lengthwise- intermittent grinding disc includes separate abrasive discs mounted on common mandrel at axial gap one relative to another and inclined relative to plane normal to rotation axis. Abrasive discs are mounted on flanges with possibility of changing inclination angle α, axial gap between them and number of discs. In description of invention formula is given for calculating gap in dependence upon number of abrasive discs of builtup grinding disc, height of abrasive disc, amplitude of cutting zone oscillation created due to inclination angle α of abrasive disc and degree of temperature reduction in cutting zone. EFFECT: stable parameters of grinding modes, enhanced vibration proofness, lowered thermal stress due to oscillation of lengthwise-intermittent cutting zone. 2cl, 6 dwg
