FIELD: devices designed for continuous conduction of catalytic reactions in gas phase at elevated temperatures, particularly, production of nitrogen cyanide. SUBSTANCE: catalytic reactor has reactor vessel including at least one device for inlet of gaseous reagent to reactor vessel, and at least one device for product discharge from reactor vessel, at least one carrier of solid phase metallic catalyst, and at least one induction heater located inside reactor vessel for induction heating of solid-phase catalyst carrier with possible passage of gas through it. Induction heater is made in the form of flat spiral from metal tube or cone-shaped coil.
