FIELD: medicine, immunology. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to method of direct effect of different substance, among them, medicinal preparations on the functional activity of components of complement. Method involves assay of inhibitory effect of substances on complement by inhibition of binding activated component C3 of human complement based on immunoenzymatic method that involves the ability of functionally active component C3 to form C5-convertase of classic pathway in interaction with C3-convertase. Inhibitory effect of substance to be tested is determined by inhibition constant. Invention provides possibility of preparing individual inhibition constants. EFFECT: improved method of assay, simplified assay, good reproducibility.
