FIELD: printing on carriers of various types. SUBSTANCE: technique of jet printing is realized by way of transfer of drops of printing ink from printing plate to carrier by direction of train of pulses of laser radiation on specified point of ink layer. Under action of train of these pulses there emerges in point of incidence of laser beam series of luminous-hydraulic effects moving away from surface of printing plate, provoking sequence of acoustic pulses following one another, creating channel in given point for short time and throwing drop over it on to carrier. For maximum efficient use of proposed technique amplitude of pulses, their duration, relative pulse duration and number of pulses in sequence are established for coordinated action on specified points of printing ink layer. Printer for realization of technique has pulse generator that can generate train of pulses and pulse focusing aid that can direct one train of these pulses on each specified point on printing ink layer. EFFECT: high printing speed with minimal consumption of energy for ejection of drops of printing ink independent of printing speed and width of sheet of carrier. 4 cl, 3 dwg
