SUBSTANCE: in vitro treatment of maize embryogenic callus involves culturing maize embryogenic callus in nutrient medium containing antibiotic cefotaxim that is added in the concentration 100-300 mg/l in the moment that is necessary for regenerates preparing. Invention provides the regeneration enhancement from embryogenic callus by 5-10 times, promotes to the accelerated differentiation of callus structures by 3-4 times and control over the regeneration process, attains stability and reproducibility of results and improves its technological effectiveness. Invention can be used both in agriculture and for fundamental researches in the field of plant physiology. EFFECT: improved method of treatment. 1 tbl
