FIELD: manufacture of valves: designed for shutoff of working medium flow conveyed through main pipelines. SUBSTANCE: gate valve has body with through channel and gate located in body. Body surface facing frontal surface of gate has recess filled with elastic-deformation material. Gate is located in body with clearance. A part of clearance facing gate side surface is filled with elastic-deformation material to form sealing system together with material filling the recess to provide for gate valve sealing. EFFECT: improved sealing of gate valve with simplified technology of its manufacture and prolonged service life of gate valve under severe operating conditions. 7 cl, 2 dwg
