FIELD: manufacture of abrasive tools, possibly for depth peripheral abrasive working of hard-to-grind materials having tendency for occurring flaws such as burnouts and microcracking. SUBSTANCE: builtup intermittent grinding wheel includes abrasive discs mounted on spindle. Each disc has two eccentric rings with eccentric shifting of outer surface relative to opening equal to eccentricity value ε.. It allows to mount discs with eccentricity and to adjust their eccentricity value in range from 0 until 2ε.. Small eccentric ring has mark and it is introduced to opening of large ring having dial. Discs are periodically rotated around lengthwise axis relative to rings. Such abrasive wheel changes kinematics of grinding process due to eccentric mounting of abrasive discs. EFFECT: lowered temperature of grinding process, enhanced dimensional stability and total strength of grinding tool, improved efficiency and grinding quality, high vibration proofness of grinding wheel due to absence of shocks at cutting and due to smooth transition of recesses to dents and vice versa. 2 cl, 6 dwg
