DIPOLE ANTENNA Russian patent published in 2003 - IPC

Abstract RU 2206156 C1

FIELD: radio engineering; communication systems, metrology, measuring levels of electromagnetic fields in environment protection activities. SUBSTANCE: proposed super-broad- band transceiver dipole antenna incorporating provision for expansion towards low-frequency region has two identical dipoles each made of two end-thickness metal plates whose surfaces are disposed in same surface and outline of each dipole plate is comma-shaped. Outer side edge of outline of each dipole is disposed on conical-surface envelope, vortexes of conical surfaces facing each other. Some ends of metal plates are converging at single point corresponding to vortex of conical surface and connected to input transmission lines of matching-and-balancing device whose output transmission line is essentially input transmission line of dipole antenna, Other ends of dipole metal plate are converging at single point and electrically connected to this point. EFFECT: enhanced matching level throughout entire frequency range, mechanical strength, and reliability; simplified design; reduced metal input and mass. 11 cl, 7 dwg
