FIELD: electrical engineering; accelerated charging of storage batteries. SUBSTANCE: sealed nickel-cadmium storage battery is proposed to be charged without additional pre-charging in regulated-amplitude mode of discharging and charging currents in 3,0±0,2 proportion at charging current amplitudes being 1,2÷0,8 of rated capacity with length of charge pulse 230±10 ms and that of discharge pulse, 15±5 ms, and spaces of 0-2 ms between them; charging process is ceased as soon as threshold voltage is set up across battery.
