Proposed cellular member has metal housing accommodating cellular member proper containing large number of channels separated by partitions. Radial rigidity of cellular member is non- uniform circumferentially (U). Cellular member is provided also with compensating layer arranged between housing and cellular member at least on separate sections in circumferential direction (U). said compensating layer has in circumferential direction (U) of cellular member at least two carrying sections acting onto cellular member in radial direction (R) with forces greater than those acting outside these sections on the rest sections arranged circumferentially. Carrying sections are arranged in places of cellular member where radial rigidity of member is higher. Said carrying sections can be made in compensating layer proper, or can be formed by carrying segments on housing and/or formed by projections on cellular member in each case on the sections of perimeter of cellular member where radial rigidity of the latter is higher. EFFECT: simplified mounting of thin-walled ceramic extruded members into metal housing with provision of long service life of structure. 23 cl, 5 dwg
