FIELD: transport structures; bridgework. SUBSTANCE: novelty of proposed method of moving-on bridge framework placed on guide rails on one bank of river consists in availability of walking facility in front end of bridge framework being moved-on; walking facility consists of two U- shaped members; each U-shaped member has two legs articulated to bridge framework from below for turn in longitudinal direction; lower end of each leg is provided with ski with lugs-retainers, reciprocating hydraulic jacks for moving legs together and apart and auxiliary jacks mounted on skis for forcing lugs-retainers into ground and locking ski and leg; rear end of bridge framework is provided with automatic longitudinal motion unit on each guide rail, thus making bridge framework perform reciprocating motion; automatic longitudinal motion unit grips rail and moves bridge framework forward by stroke of piston of reciprocating hydraulic jack with front leg and walking facility inclined forward and front end of bridge framework and rear leg slightly raised; then reverse stroke of reciprocating hydraulic jack is placed in operation and rear leg of walking facility is moved to front one, after which auxiliary jack is placed in operation which drives lug-retainer of rear leg ski into ground and reverse stroke of bridge framework is switched on, thus shifting the support on rear leg; then reciprocating hydraulic jack is placed in operation for moving the front leg forward and advance stroke of bridge framework is switched on; then cycles are repeated; jacks are mounted on bank abutment and in river bed at lowering bridge framework on permanent bridge footing in design position by height.
