SUBSTANCE: device has separate modules , ribbed shield, and flexible insulating compound filling all joints and connections. Modules are made of glass-reinforced plastic tubes carrying externally threaded metal lugs. Strings of nonlinear resistors are insulated from metal lugs by means of silicone rubber disks.
