FIELD: oil production, analysis of composition of crude in technological process of its extraction, collection, preparation and transportation. SUBSTANCE: test tank made clear for visible and microwave radiation and placed vertically is filled with sample of crude in limits 4/5≤V<1, where V is relative volume of test tank. Prior to illumination sample of crude is separated into components ( precipitate, water, clean oil ) by exposure to microwave radiation. Intensity of visible radiation passed through test tank is registered by recording of videosignal of image line located along axis of test tank on side opposite to illuminated side. Proportion of crude components is established after numbering in analog-to-digital converter and transmission of videosignal into computer through interface. Device for implementation of invention comprises illuminator 1, test tank 2, analog-to-digital converter 3 which outputs are connected through interface 4 to computer 5, working microwave chamber 6 coming in the form of rectangular hollow parallelepiped, microwave radiation source 7, TV camera 8 and two electromagnetic valves 9, 10. Test tank 2 is manufactured in the form of hollow cylinder clear for visible and microwave radiation, is attached with bases to inner upper 14 lower 15 walls of working microwave chamber 6.
