FIELD: mechanical engineering; internal combustion engines. SUBSTANCE: invention is designed for use in lubrication systems of internal combustion engines. Proposed plunger pump contains housing accommodating double-acting plunger installed for longitudinal travel in spaces of two coaxial cylinders of alternating action. Adjusting mechanism is provided with turnable ring installed in hinge supports for turning relative to axis square to longitudinal axis of double-acting plunger and engaging with guide. Working end of guide is fitted in ring groove made on inner surface of turnable ring by means of which adjustable translation of double-acting plunger is effected, stroke of plunger being proportional to delivery of pump. Bypass channels in form of spiral grooves are made on cylindrical surface of plunger. Said grooves connect cylinder spaces with intake and outlet channels of pump providing alternation of suction and delivery at rotation by means of pump drive with simultaneous reciprocation of double-acting plunger. Invention makes it possible to create new delivery system with sequential delivery alternately from two cylinders and changing of delivery phases at one cycle of pump operation at continuous and regulated delivery at each delivery stroke. EFFECT: enlarged operating capabilities. 2 dwg
