FIELD: analytical chemistry, monitoring of air and water environment of factories producing hydrazine. SUBSTANCE: hydrazine is detected by method of inversion voltammetric analysis on mercury film electrode ( silver substrate ) in three- electrode electrochemical cell. Silver-chloride electrodes are used as auxiliary and comparison electrodes. Solutions of potassium chloride are utilized in the capacity of background electrolyte. Hydrazine is concentrated in mercury film at potentials 1.45-1.70 V in the course of 60-120 s with blow-through with inert gas. EFFECT: increased sensitivity and accuracy of measurement of concentrations of hydrazine. 1 tbl
