FIELD: nuclear power engineering; high-power neutron sources. SUBSTANCE: neutron producing plant has housing, set of irradiated elements, and channel passing charged particle beam. Housing is made in the form of three coaxially arranged shells separated by radial clearances. Internal carrying shell is, essentially, sleeve-shaped high-pressure shell whose open end is connected through sealed joint to interior of particles feeding channel. Shell has through holes receiving set of irradiated elements fixed and sealed therein and disposed inside mentioned shell in layers turned to each other. They are tubular elements built of two thin-walled coaxially arranged tubes with neutron- producing material placed in-between and throttling member disposed in internal tube. Intermediate shell of housing has through holes connected to ends of internal tubes receiving irradiated elements through sealed joint; one end of intermediate shell is connected through sealed joint to end of internal shell and its opposite end is connected through sealed joint to end of external shell.
