SUBSTANCE: working stand of rolling mill includes frames, chocks with working and backup rolls mounted in frames, spacing wedges mounted in chocks of rolling rolls and two-ram hydraulic cylinders mounted in wedges of chocks of lower rolling roll. Wedges of chocks of upper rolling roll have dead cylindrical turnings in which rams with extended stems are arranged. Chocks of upper rolling roll have mutually opposite dead openings upon bottoms of which stems of rams rest. EFFECT: enhanced quality of rolled strips and working capacity of bearing units of rolls. 3 dwg
