FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: method involves carrying out triplex ultrasonic examination as combined gray scale ultrasonic scanning in real time mode, color Doppler mapping and pulsating mode Doppler sonography. Vascularization availability is detected in space-occupying orbit lesion. Quantitative blood circulation values are recorded in the inside of the tumor and in ophthalmic artery. Orbital tumor index (OTI) is calculated from a formula OTI= Vmax tbv/Vmax oar, where Vmax tbv is the systolic peak speed in tumor blood vessels and Vmax oar is the systolic peak speed in the ophthalmic artery. OTI not greater than 1.1, idiopathic dacryoadenitis is to be diagnosed. OTI equal to 1.27±0.13 and showing tendency to growth, lacrimal gland adenocarcinoma is to be diagnosed.

EFFECT: high accuracy of diagnosis.
