FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: method involves carrying out three-dimensional spatial ultrasonic scanning. Scanning plane is arranged in a way that it skew-sagittally passes over the superoexterior and inferointerior orbit boundary at an angle of 45° between the vertical and horizontal planes of eye and orbit. Then, the scanning plane angle and direction are changed relative to vertical and horizontal axis to build lacrimal gland image of maximum area. Gland mobility is estimated in this plane by varying eyeball position in horizontal, vertical and skewed direction. Color and energy Doppler mapping is additionally carried out, lacrimal vein and artery and their I and II order branches are identified with blood circulation speed being determined. Gland volume is determined in three scanning planes: skew-sagittal, perpendicular to it and frontal one. Volume average is calculated based on the received data. Virtual gland model is built on which its surface state, topographic properties, density, structural specific and vasculogenicity.
EFFECT: high diagnosis quality.
