SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to ophthalmooncology, and is intended for determining efficiency of photodynamic therapy (PDT) of choroid melanomas. Before and 6 months after choroid melanoma PDT by ultrasonic examination in B-mode dimensions and character of tumor echogenicity is determined, In CDM and EDM modes degree and type of intratumoral vascularisation are determined, in PD mode values of linear velocities of intratumoral blood flow and RL index are determined. If after PDT reduction of height and dimensions of tumor base, appearance of zones with reduced echogenicity occupying 50% and more of total tumor area, reduction of degree of intratumoral bascularisation and change of its type, reduction of linear velocities of intratumoral blood flow, reduction of RI index in intratumoral vessels are detected, carried out PDT of choroid melanoma is considered efficient.

EFFECT: method ensures objective estimation of efficiency of choroid melanoma efficiency, based on data about change of tumor dimensions and echogenicity, as well as on quantitative and qualitative indices of change of its vascularisation degree and type.
