SUBSTANCE: according to invention in liquid filled lens with variable focal lens crossing of free zone of membrane with member of membrane support is invisible, visual contrast between supported and non-supported surfaces of membrane is minimal and optical distortion is reduced. Such lens includes deformed membrane as one surface, member of membrane support for holding perimeter of free zone of membrane, transparent liquid filing space between fixed lens and membrane. When member of membrane support is tore like one, membrane is supported in such a way that it has round free zone independently upon contour of lens perimeter. Cross section of tore like portion of support member preferably is in the form of circle arc, and perimeter of free zone of membrane is tangent to it.
EFFECT: reduced optical distortion at using such lens.
