FIELD: neurology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to predicting development of autoimmune demyelinization process in the course of infection such as viral encephalitis. For prediction of the course of viral encephalitis in an acute disease period, IgE and IgG antibody levels are investigated with the aid of immunoenzymatic method. When indicated levels are increased, development of autoimmune demyelinization is predicted, whereas with normal IgE and IgG levels favorable course of disease without autoimmune demyelinization is predicted.
EFFECT: enabled prediction of the course of disease in convalescent and later periods.
