FIELD: sugar industry.
SUBSTANCE: centrifuge has housing with cover and bottom, rotor suspended to shaft in upper support, and effluent separating device including two truncated cones arranged one above another and having similar angles of taper. Lower cone is immovably fixed on housing bottom and upper cone is positioned for reciprocation in vertical plane to define effluent discharge annular channels. Such construction prevents effluents from mixing on centrifuge housing bottom.
EFFECT: provision for increased quality and stable parameters of effluents, increased sugar yield and reduced sugar losses in molasses.
