FIELD: cooling equipment, particularly for creating cryogenic temperatures in infrared sensors with throttle cooling systems.
SUBSTANCE: cooling unit has cooled cylindrical holder to which crystal with photosensitive element is connected and throttle cooling system. Holder end has porous material connected thereto. Porous material is formed as plate with capillary structure having porosity ≥ 90% and pore effective diameter ≤ 5 mcm and heat conductivity of raw material ≤ 2 W/m·K. Plate surface adjoining above end is metallized and metallization thickness is 0.03 - 0.1 mm. Low heat conductivity and high porosity of porous material provides absorption of liquid coolant fraction by plate surface facing outlet orifice of throttle system and absorbed liquid fraction pushes vapor bubble against metallized holder plate surface due to capillary forces.
EFFECT: reduced time of temperature reduction up to cryostatting temperature of crystal with photosensitive element and repeatability thereof.
