FIELD: food-processing industry.
SUBSTANCE: sugar-free food product has solid coating and edible chewing or pharmaceutical core. At least one layer of solid coating is produced by applying liquid covering syrup of corbitol and erythrite, wherein erythrite content, of dry substance in mixture, is at least 10 wt%. Method involves adding liquid covering syrup to movable mass of cores in rotating tank. Liquid covering syrup includes mixture of sorbitol and erythrite. Food product includes sorbitol and erythrite in an amount sufficient for imparting adequate adhesion to core.
EFFECT: increased efficiency and improved quality of sugar-free food product.
