FIELD: railway transport; signaling and communication; traffic control.
SUBSTANCE: according to proposed method, ac voltage signal is applied to track circuit at one end and current value of voltage is recorded at other end and is compared with threshold voltages of occupation and clearing of track-circuit. If occupation threshold voltage exceeds current voltage, track is considered occupied, and if current value exceeds threshold voltage value, track is considered clear. Proposed method differs from known ones in that dependence of voltage of track circuit inlet end at moment of its occupation relative to reference voltage being voltage being voltage of track circuit under normal conditions at moment of occupation of one of adjacent track circuit when other track circuit is clear, is plotted. Using obtained curve, voltage drop coefficient is determined. Threshold occupation voltage is found as product of recorded current value of voltage drop coefficient, and threshold clear voltage, as quotient of division of threshold occupation voltage by return coefficient taken as 0.8-0.9.
EFFECT: improved reliability of checking condition of track sections.
