FIELD: railway transport; signaling and communication.
SUBSTANCE: according to proposed method, two ac signals are applied to end of track circuit, and difference in voltage is determined at other end and is compared with threshold value. Novelty of proposed method is that signals of two different frequencies are applied to track circuit at supply end. At receiving end higher frequency voltage level is subtracted from lower frequency voltage level, and result is compared with threshold values. If clearance threshold value is exceeded, track section is considered clear, and if difference value is less than occupation threshold value, track section is considered occupied.
EFFECT: improved reliability of checking condition of track sections.
