FIELD: railway signaling and communication; traffic control.
SUBSTANCE: ac current signals are supplied to track circuit at one end in turn from left-hand and right hard ends. Said signals are received at other end and are compared with threshold values. Threshold values are determined from relationship between current of receiving end and current of supply end. First and second threshold values are taken equal to 90% and 110% of current of supply end. Track circuit is considered non-occupied if valve of received signal is greater than first and smaller than second threshold value, and it is considered occupied in other case.
EFFECT: improved reliability of checking.
