FIELD: metal working, namely procedures for determining deformation of cut off layer at metal cutting.
SUBSTANCE: apparatus includes two casings whose one ends are mutually joined by means of screw. Rotating members are mounted on other ends of said casings. One rotating member may engage with cut off cuttings; other member may engage with worked surface at cutting. Rotating members are in the form of rollers. One roller engaging with worked surface is joined through flexible shaft with first cylinder of computer indicator. Other roller engaging with cuttings is joined through other flexible shaft with second cylinder of computer indicator. At turning in lathe first rotating member engages with worked surface, second rotating member engages with cuttings. Signals generated by means of cylinders of computer indicators and containing information related to angular movements of rotating members are processed in controller and transmitted to main computer for calculating shrinkage factor of cuttings according of given relation. Calculated data are displayed in digital form in monitor.
EFFECT: enhanced reliability and accuracy of measurement.
