FIELD: chemical industry; methods of electrolytic production of magnesium.

SUBSTANCE: the invention is pertaining to the methods of electrolytic production of magnesium out of a carnallite. The offered method provides for a discharge of a solid dehydrated carnallite from a kiln, its transportation and charging in electrolyzers. According to the invention the solid carnallite is discharged into a sealed tank, where it is treated with a dehydrated compressed air up to the excessive pressure in the tank equal to 0.1 - 0.5 kPa. Then after the treatment it is overcharged from the tank into a sealed container, transported and discharged from the container into a hopper of an electrolyzer. The technical result is decreased losses of the feed stock due to a decrease of its comminution and a dust removal from an electrolyzer, increased service life of the equipment.

EFFECT: the invention ensures decreased losses of the feed stock and a dust removal from an electrolyzer, increased service life of the equipment.
