FIELD: measuring equipment engineering.
SUBSTANCE: method is meant for determining property of flow of liquid environment, flowing along pipeline 1 having farad meter, containing ring-shaped capacity indicators 2a, 2b of upper and lower flow. Each ring-shaped capacity sensor contains at least three probing electrodes 11a-13a, 11b-14b. probing electrodes are positioned around circle of pipeline. For each ring-shaped capacity indicator a set of measuring capacitors is selected. Measuring capacitor is formed by two measuring electrodes, and measuring electrode consists either of separate probing electrode, or at least of two mutually connected probing electrodes. In several time moment during certain time range electric capacity of each measuring capacitor is measured for each ring-shaped capacity indicator 2a, 2b. mutual correlations between electric capacities are determined, which were measured during current time range at ring-shaped capacity indicator 2 of upper current, and electric capacities, measured during current time range at ring-shaped capacity indicator 2 b of lower current. Flow property is determined from mutual correlations. Also a method is provided for providing corrected electric tanks and actual farad meter.
