FIELD: biotechnology, microbiology.
SUBSTANCE: method involves carrying out a test for viability of infusoria of Stilonichia species by mixing infusoria Stilonichia species medium with colon bacillus grown in Hottinger broth taken in the ratio 1:3, incubation for 24-72 h and assay of the toxicity degree of analyzed object that is evaluated by infusoria viability degree. Invention provides detecting pathogenic strains of colon bacillus, to carry out epidemiological control for its presence and spreading, to optimize culturing periods in manufacturing vaccine preparations against escherichiosis in young stock animals. Invention can be used in detection of toxigenic colon bacilli.
EFFECT: improved biotesting method.
