FIELD: hydrocarbon production, particularly to obtain hydrocarbons from kerogen-bearing underground shales deposits and to use formations exhibiting reservoir properties as heat sources to convert kerogen into hydrocarbons.
SUBSTANCE: method involves using rock rich in organic compounds and located near formations exhibiting reservoir properties; generating heat in above formations, wherein the heat is enough to rise temperature of rock rich in organic compounds in underground formation to increase rate of kerogen conversion into hydrocarbons. To realize above method oxygen-containing gas is injected into reservoir to increase reservoir temperature up to 220°C.
EFFECT: increased rate of kerogen conversion into hydrocarbons.
