FIELD: ophthalmology.
SUBSTANCE: artificial crystalline lens can be used for intraocular aphakia during process of removing cataract. Artificial lens is made of bio-compatible elastic material for bend of optical and haptic parts. Haptic part is made in form of two flat curvilinear figures disposed diametrically opposite to belong to main plane of optical part. Width of haprtic part equals to diameter of optical part. Side edge surfaces of haptic part are parallel to main axis of optical part. Eternal edge surfaces of haptic part have protrusions directed outside the optical part. Two through slots disposed diametrically opposite are made in haptic part for fixing it to the edge of front continuous circular capsulorhexis. Straight parts of slots start from peripheral part of optical part and go smoothly to curvilinear U-shaped parts bent in the direction of optical part to be symmetrical to main axis of optical part. Width of slots is the same along the total length. Distances between maximally distant points at external edge surfaces of haptic part relate to distances between vortexes of U-shaped protrusions, formed by through slots, as 3:1. Pairs of straight or arc-shaped grooves are made onto top side of closed loops, formed by through slots at haptic part, or at both sides of those loops. Grooves of any pair are symmetrical to main axis of optical part. Straight grooves are perpendicular to main axis of optical part. Distance between pairs of straight grooves relates to distance between maximally distant points at external edge surfaces of haptic part as 0,55-0,58. Arc-shaped grooves are disposed concentrically to optical part at its periphery. Widths and depths of any groove relate to thickness of haptic part as 0,025 and 0,125 correspondingly. Grooves at both sides of closed loops are disposed one under the other.
EFFECT: stable position of artificial lens inside eye; less traumatic fixation of haptic part.
