FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine. Artificial eye lens (AEL) is made as a single unit from biocompatible elastic material and contains flexible optic and haptic parts. Haptic part is made in form of two curvilinear diametrically placed haptic elements. Width of haptic part equals the diameter of optic part. Two diametrically located similar through slots are made in haptic part. Each slot is symmetrical with respect to longitudinal AEL axis. Width of slots is equal on entire length. Each haptic element is provided with straight and arch-shaped grooves. Arch-shaped groove is made concentric to optic part near its periphery. Each haptic element is made in form of semi-oval and is provided with manipulation hole, located near periphery of optic part between butt end surface and slot. Both holes are located diagonally with respect to each other. Haptic elements are bent toward front surface of optic part at angle of 15-20 degrees. Through slots reproduce the contour of butt end surface of haptic elements. Each of arch-shaped grooves is made on entire front surface of haptic element, except slots. Each straight groove is located along longitudinal AEL axis on its front surface between AEL butt end top and through slot.
EFFECT: application of claimed invention will make it possible to extend arsenal of accommodating artificial eye lens, increase accommodation volume, reduce implantation trauma, and increase stability of AEL position.
